Unable to delete Content Deployment Path or Job in Central Administration - Receive "Error: Access Denied"

Symptom - Unable to delete a Content Deployment Path or Job within the Central Admin. You receive "Error access denied" no matter what account you use (even the one you used to create the Content Deployment schedule with.

Resolution - Disable the Content Deployment Path and then deleting it using the same account that you used to create the schedule/path/job
